ABOUT ME

When I was in third grade growing up in New Orleans, my band teacher handed me a paper with photos of musicians on it playing various instruments, saying "circle the one you want to play." Nearly fifty years later, I'm still playing the saxophone I circled.

As a teenager, I was recruited to play with the Neville Brothers all around New Orleans. Later, I worked for ten years as a merchant seaman before deciding to set down roots and start a band in San Francisco. I've been here ever since, and the band—The Unknown Giants—still plays to this day. I've played at most of the city's storied institutions, including Cafe du Nord on its opening day.

My dream has always been to be happy and successful from my music—and to make others happy when they hear me play. I recently started learning how to play the bass, and I look forward to continuing to expand on my passion.
